Since the Towcester Racecourse is currently closed, the race that was initially scheduled for it will now be hosted by the Market Rasen Racecourse for the upcoming 2019 Cheltenham Festival. This only means that racing fans looking for some Cheltenham tips can now mark this extra meet on their calendars!
The Lincolnshire track has been selected to stage the additional fixture on March 14th, Thursday. With this news, visitors and racegoers can enjoy watching fixtures on the third day of Cheltenham Racing Festival on racecourse TVs as well as live jump racing.
For excited racegoers, tickets can be bought in advance. The admission on the County Raceday is £10 for adults. The Market Rasen Racecourse also adopts a “one enclosure” policy on County Racedays where everyone can get the best offers available at reduced prices.
General Manager of the Market Rasen Racecourse Nadia Powell stated that they were exhilarated when they were asked by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA) to host the fixture that was initially scheduled at Towcester Racecourse. Powell added that it’s a great opportunity for them to offer racegoers a chance to watch the action live on the third day of the Cheltenham Festival.
